At viagogo you'll instantly be writing code that will reach millions worldwide. From day one you'll have ownership over your work and real responsibility – so you can be rest assured you won't be just following someone around. If you want to be part of an industry leading team and want your voice to be heard viagogo might just be the place for you.
We've kept our startup culture (even though we're now the largest online ticket marketplace in the world) so you won't be arbitrarily rotating round teams, but you'll follow your strengths and interests in your first year, so as to find the right team for you. You'll be assigned a mentor on your first day to ensure you receive the highest quality of training, but will still have the freedom to carve out your own career path. There's real scope for progression; if you're super ambitious, passionate and full of ideas you'll thrive here. Graduates can join our brand new offices in Central London, or our specialist team in Limerick.
What do we look for?
You're passionate about coding and it shows. You'll have spent your summers interning as a software engineer, just to keep your skills up to date, or you'll be building a project after hours in a new language, just because you're curious. Maybe you've attended hackathons at university or founded a tech society. Whatever it is, we want to hear about it.
What we can offer you
Apart from using the latest cutting edge tech whilst being mentored by world class teams, you'll be working in a casual office, with dress down Monday – Friday, unlimited juice and coffee, cuddles from the office dog, poker nights, 5 a side football games, monthly hackathons and of course, a very competitive pay package. The responsibility you'll be given from day one means you will be able to carve out your own career path, with fast progression.
We recruit all year round with no deadlines.
To apply for an internship complete our short application process and we'll be in touch.
Jeroen Vannevel – Graduate Software Engineer
"In my first 9 weeks I was shifted around a few times for a few weeks each which I absolutely loved. By getting these introductions to different parts of the business and technology stack in my first weeks I was able to utilize information I gained in each of them in other areas. That was extremely valuable both in productivity as in personal development because I learned a lot from different smart people. It also helped a lot to meet all kinds of people around the office and learn what strengths they have.
I love it here because of the varied work I do on a daily basis and the smart people I'm surrounded with. Each day could be about working on a tool, creating an experiment for the website, investigating a performance issue, tracking down an elusive bug, helping someone else learn something new, sit together with a senior dev to be taught something, etc. As long as that keeps happening I will never get tired of this place!""
